I drew the covers for the double “Back to School” issue of The Coast this week!
The theme: Harry Potter, so I drew Harry and pals in university.
This cover is pretty much Lev Grossman’s ‘The Magicians.’
In looking this up just now to make sure I spelt the authors name correctly I found out that it’s going to be a TV show from the X-Men: First Class/Thor writers next year?
Awesome.
Last year I made a list of the five series I would love to work on to bring them to Television or Film screens. With ‘The Magicians’, ‘The Hunger Games’, ‘Runaways’ and ‘Ender’s Game’ now in various stages of production it seems all of them will be filmed before I get to a place in the industry where I might get the chance to work on any of them.
That makes me just a little sad.
Still, there’s always working on ‘Oddworld’ right?!
